I grew up in Columbia, South Carolina, where I was always taking things apart and figuring out how they worked. As a kid, I’d pull bike parts from scrap piles, rebuild and paint them, and sell them for extra money. When new technology showed up in the house—like a VCR or microwave—I’d read the manuals front to back and then teach everyone else how to use them.

That curiosity carried into my teenage years, where I helped a neighbor build a house from the ground up. It gave me an early understanding of how homes are actually put together—and I’ve been building on that knowledge ever since.

 

For the past 30 years, I worked in IT focused on supply chain automation, solving complex system problems and helping businesses operate more efficiently. Over time, I realized the same kind of thinking applies directly to the home—where technology and physical systems need to work together seamlessly.

 

Today, I bring that combined experience into McMillan Home Systems. I help homeowners install, troubleshoot, and optimize everything from devices and networks to fixtures and structural components.

 

Home technology shouldn’t be frustrating—and household problems shouldn’t require multiple calls to different people. I focus on understanding the full picture, so I can fix what’s wrong, improve what’s not working, and make sure your home supports the way you actually live.
